The gsync module is designed to have the video card handle most of the functions handled by the video card, so you need to use the Nvidia control panel to make the color adjustments you need. Gsync modules do not have hardware scalers on any current monitor (including the Rog Swift, (I'm not sure if the XB270HU has low level color adjustments, but I did see RGB color settings available in the service menu for the XB270HU), which also means all lower resolutions besides native are GPU scaled at all times. The gsync module is not a hardware scaler. Does anyone know why is this a blocked function? I wish I could use Color Temperature in user mode and reduce the amount of Red but I can't do it. My image has a slight redish tone to it and I can notice it when I'm looking at white backgrounds and it really bothers me. I can only control Brightness, Contrast and Gamma.

When I'm in Gsync engine, a lot of the options are disabled. I've read NCX reviews and posts on this (awesome job btw man, thanks!) but I can't figure out a way to control the Color Temperature when in Picture Mode Standard in Gsync engine. I'm having a real hard time calibrating this thing though.

I'm using this with a PC and 2 Consoles, so I guess that's the only solution I have if I want to have Gsync also. I love the GSync function and all the extra connectivity ports it has. So I got myself a XL2420G last week and so far my experience has been mixed. I'm not sure if this is considered a thread necro (I hope not, new here!) but this seemed to me the most appropriate place to post this. There seem to be a variety of upcoming G-Sync displays, but in all likelihood these will be riddled with bugs and QC issues just like the current ones (LCD QC in general seems to be in a downward spiral), and between wating for them to launch, and then waiting the inevitable ~6 months for them to mature, it'll realistically be 2016 by before I'll have any hope of getting my hands on a decent G-Sync monitor. XL2420G: Grossly overpriced, and using a panel that seems to have lackluster QC. XB270H: Judging by user reviews, backlight bleed seems too common to bother with this one, even if you find the hideous pixel pitch acceptable. XB280HK: Panel uniformity issues (banding, blotchy), creeping backlight bleed (absolute deal breaker, wouldn't recommend one to an enemy for this reason). Jesus, G-Sync is such an incredible technology, but it's wasted in the 2014/15 monitor market: shitty LCDs are bad enough, but now you'r pretty much guaranteed a shitty, broken LCD. That's exactly the kind of BS that makes me want to avoid the monitor like the plague. Revision lottery already? Silent alterations, removed features and apparently different panel characteristics, with an Acer rep being oblivious to the changes. Thanks for this, if frigging worked instantly, the moment I hit install, the colour profile I had been trying to get applied for over an hour to no avail worked! Thanks you so much, I wonder how many other people have found this post helpful since you posted.I was just gearing up to purchase a G2460PG, now that they've finally arrived in NZ, when I saw this:

Holy crap, I've been trying to sort my dual monitor set up for months now - spend a couple of hours trying different fixes and giving up cursing windows 10, lol, until the next time it gets too much for me to ignore. You should only be able to remove old ones, when the other has been applied. Below, it should show a list of ICC Profiles, "Set as Default" to the correct one. Under the "Devices" tab, select the monitor from the device list. inf file and select install.ĭouble check - Under Search Windows, find "Color Management" or under your Control Panel > Display > Advanced Display Settings. You should find a few files (CAT, ICM, INF). It's IMPORTANT to extract them all first.
